Quick,
On SpeedChannell the SCCA Runoff (GTL)!! With an Opel GT on it!!

With Stan at 13th place!! Way to go Stan!!

The announcers said the Opel was a 1979 or 1980. Boy are they wrong!!

It will be showen again on Dec 2 (Friday) at 4:00 am est (Set your VCR). They interviewed Stan about the GT. Great Show!!

Thanks Rick, based on your post, I did catch him just before the broke for commercial as he was calling it quits for the day! I did see the interview, though. Nice car. His last name waz Czacki or something?

There was pretty good coverage of the GT. The Speed's guys comments where very funny.

"That is a 79-80 opel gt....classic 80's design"

Both guys interviewed are opel guys, and visit here.

The opel looked pretty strong out there, on tv you could see it take a spot back after the keyhole.

I have watched all of the prod races so far they have been pretty good. I am waiting for the FP race....from what I understand it was intresting.

Darn, I missed it! Yes, Stan Czacki, that's our guy. My hero, he supplied the rear gears we needed to get Speedway GT up to speed.
I will set my VCR to catch the next airing, thank you!

I think that Davegt27 is the guy interviewed with Stan.

He did a great job with the Ford Festiva. If he had a better starting position I am sure he would have came in first!! He started in 28th position and finised 5th (I think if I remember correctly).

If you mean a Ford Fiesta, then the driver is Bill Davidson. He is an Opel owner though, and used to race an ITB GT.

Yep, you are correct! He did a great job of driving! I am sure surprised that the Fiesta did as well as it did!! It was flying around Mid-Ohio.

I taped it tonight, and FF'd through it this morning. Only open racers, nothing that resembles a GT. Am I missing something, or did they change their programming?

It was the GT L (lite) class of cars your looking for. Some one correct me but I think they combined GT 4 & 5 ?

One Mustang was euthanized the next morning.
