Clutch parts needed

I know that this has been discussed before, I just can't find it. I need to replace the clutch and pressure plate in my 71 GT (1.9 L). Since replacements for the original parts are not available, what other parts work?

Try Opel GT Source for new clutches and pressure plates, there are plenty of other sources for used parts like Blitz parts, Opels Unlimited, OpelUSA, etc. try a search for more info, also check the classified ad section on this site- For Sale or Wanted.

or a clutch from the S-10...

i don't know if there is anywhere around you that would do it, but there is a place close to me that will take any clutch and build it to any specs you give them. if they don't have a core there already (doubt they'd have an opel clutch) then you can just give them one. for a 6 puck ceramic clutch and upgraded pressure plate (double clamping force) they are asking $340 canadian. so ask around and see if you can find somewhere like this.

or a clutch from the S-10...

But then you'd have to machine the flywheel flat and still need an Opel pressure plate, or use the S-10 pressure plate and have the flywheel redrilled to accept it, I do believe.

the clutch disk from early 90's isuzu impulse will fit I dont know about the pressure plate. just make sure the disk is 1x14 spline

wow RockAuto has alot for Opels... They have teh clutch kit as metioned above for $211.00.
