Do you like my new fog lights on my old pride?
The are a pair of 10cm E11 Halogen H3 55W, made by "Lampa", an italian firm, pretty known here in Greece. They have glass lenses. I swear the model is a Hella's replica. I bought these for 40 euros...
For the rear, I added a relay, which when activated disconnects the rear left lamp's high (21W) side from the brakes circuit, and connects it to +12V contant... So it glows exactly like a rear fog lamp, while the right lamp and the added brake led bar operate normaly...
I undertook this project, because I am moving in a few weeks to a new house, in a location where fog is an almost daily condition, and I will have to be driving 60kms (there and back) daily to the nearest city where I am university student.
No way am I risking not being able to see or be seen!!!
P.S.: During taking the pictures, I had the low-beam lights on for brightness comparison (they are E1 Halogen H4 55w). I know it is not allowed to drive with fog lights on. I am not the kind of guy that enjoys disturbing oncoming traffic...

Thank you for your positive comment! I have also added another pair of driving lights on the bumper, to make night driving at the local non-illuminated roads safer.
I wanted to imitate the Ascona 400 auxiliary lights.That's why I chose a round shape, with black plastic case, and glass lenses. About the positioning, for the fog lights, the "400" style was too close to the center, it just didn't look good for a street car, so I aligned their bulbs horizontally with the low beam bulbs. The driving lights were positioned exactly to clear the radiator through the grille (no air-flow disruption), and still they did not protrude at the sides of the grille... I like both pairs very much. Even after almost a year of fitting them, if I were to re-do the job, I would do nothing differently. And people gave nice comments too, because they said they made the car look unique without losing originality.
But the MOST important thing is that they were there when I needed them, and they did their job beautifully!!! Better safe than sorry!

I'll have to post a pic of my Ascona Wagon with my 4 CIBIE Oscar set up. I know you Europeans don't like the big US bumpers, but, they work great for mounting lights.

Here's my set-up, the headlights are converted to HELLA H-4's, the upper CIBIE Oscars are driving lights, the lower are CIBIE Oscars are fogs.
