    Accufire electronic ignition?

I'm pricing an electronic ignition upgrade for my stock points and came across this when I google searched for Pertronix. It's only $42.95 (doesn't include shipping unless I spend $50). I can't find any reference to Accufire in our forums. Will this work for a 70 GT with stock coil? Has anyone got one of these and can make a recommendation or should I go with the Pertronix? And, my best price shopping is $63 (includes shipping) on a Pertronix 1847. Anyone know of a better price? Thanks, Jerry

Oh yeah, that answers my questions. I'm still shopping for the best price on the Pertronix though. Thanks, Jerry

Jerry is my first name. The kids refer to me as the drunk monkey though. When I feel like I've accomplished something, I pump up to UngerDog.

If you can wait till the middle of November, Bugstuff (1-800-752-2847) in PA usually has their Thanksgiving Sale on the 1847V, which I've found to be the cheapest in the past . . . bought all of mine there except my very first one in '78 direct from Perlux (now Pertronix).

Otto, the 1847V from Pertronix, is it "plug & play"? or is there other stuff needed as well??

Call them and ask if they will ship to you, then order on a credit card.

Ya, I can wait a month to save a few $$. Points are fine for now. After all, it took me 20 years to get it out of my backyard (I am a real backyard mechanic) and onto the street. Jerry
