    Bellhousing ?

Will the bellhousing from a manual transmission, bolt up to an automatic transmission?

The bellhousing from the manual trans and the auto trans will not swap out, you need the correct one for each one. If you need either the manual or automatic, just drive down Hwy 29, to Hwy 124 to Snellville, I have both.

Isn't the TH 180 auto bell housing integral with the transmission?

    Nope, it's unboltable.

So, does "unboltable" mean it is one piece? Sort of "integral"? Or can it be unbolted from the tranny? I could have sworn that it is one piece, but then I have only seen them lying on other Opel owners floors.

It is fully removeable. This allowed the tranny to be used in many other vehicles without casting an entire new case each time. Chevette, Fiat Spider, Volvo, and other cars used this tranny other than Opel.

    Yep

The bellhousing unbolts from the case - that is how you get inside to fix the trans.
