Parting out a '70 Kadett 10% back to Opel GT.com

This board has been an invaluable source of information and help. I know it takes a lot to keep it running and want help. With that said, I have come across a 1970 Kadett. It is running and is an automatic. All in all the car is in nice shape but would take a lot to restore. I bought it for the motor as I plan to do a build up for the GT. The rest I will sell in part or whole. As part of the sale(s) I will donate 10% to this board.

Let me know what you need and we'll work out the details right here.

    Henri;
If it has any sway bars, I'm speaking up for those. Let me know what you want for them or it.

How are the door sealing rubbers. Is it a two door and if so what model? How are the wing window rubbers? Thanks.

    Kadett parts...

    Henri,

I have a '71 Kadett (model 31). I could use window cranks, interior light bezels, and license plate lights.

If it did not have a radio in it and the 'blanking plate' is still there I would like that. Also the upper Dash Pad if it has no cracks in it.............

Still have original battery cables, + and -? How about the left (driver) side automatic to radiator hard line? Then there's all the underhood wiring loom clips (spring steel, hold cables to fenders on both sides), uh, wiper motor, washer nozzle and wiper arms . . . that's my list for now. Let me know by PM, please.

Sealing rubber and scrapers are shot. The interior trim around the doors is good and the sills ar there but dull.

    Paul,
Got the lights. When you say the cranks do you mean the handles or the whole assempbly?

All the glass is good in this car. The auto trans worked great. I drove it on and off a trailer with smooth shifts. The underside has years of grime but the parts look good.

ANything else just let me know.

Would you consider selling the auto tranny?

Need the 3 position dome light metal bracket too.

Ray, if you're looking for a TH 180 auto for the 1.9, John Warga (aka "ftl")here in Calgary converted his GT to a Getrag, and it would be a lot closer to ship or come get. PM or e-mail me if you're interested

Remember - the GT has the shift linkage on the oposite side of the auto trans to the Manta and Kadett ....

    All,

My work schedule has loaded up for the next 2 weeks. I'll pull parts when I can.

I think the shades are O.K. I'll add the light assembly.

    Opel Part Needed

I am looking for beige carpets for a newly-acquired 69 wagon. If they are in decent condition (especially the front), please let me know. Also, if the right front fender is straight and unrusted, I am interested as well (my car is beige).

This one was black and had a rippled right fender.
