    1967.5 Rallye light switches

    Hello all.

I am continuing work on my new to me Kadett and am stumped by the light switches. I have a four rocker switch to the left of the steering wheel and it seems to have something to do with the headlights but I am unable to get tem to turn on. Then there is a three position twist knob switch to the right of the steering wheel that also seems to have a light symbol on it. Is that for the rallye lights? I would love it if someone could show me a diagram of the dash with all the switches labeled.

The car came with no books so I have no idea what is what.

    -Thanks

    -Alex

I got the headlights to work but still can't figure out the rally lights and still do not understand the function of the mysterious light switch on the right side of the steering wheel near the center of the dash. Can anyone help??

    fog lights

The fog light switch is built in to the hazard brake test switch. It is the light switch on the left. The switch in the middle of the dash is the blower motor switch, which is by the heat control. There may also be a heated window switch for the rear, but not sure if 67 had that

Keith, the '67 and older didn't have the combined hazard/fog switch, instead it had the heater controls and fan switch in one unit, in the same spot on the dash.

The light just to the right of the tachometer should be the one that turns on the rallye lights, but it will only work if the relay under the hood, and it's fuse on the side of the relay, are good.

The dash layout, for the '67 Rallye, from the owner's manual:

Thanks oldopelguy!! This is the info I needed. I will start to trouble shoot the fog light relay next. I installed a fuse on it but can't say if the relay is good or not. I am still looking for a good wiring diagram far the car as well. Does anyone here have one??

I've got some from 69 - 72, but I think there here on site, just use the search function, if you don't find them send a PM with your E-Mail address, and if you want the file in .zip or .rar compression
