1.9 (head, valves, lifters, rockers, except cam) measures 55 lbs.
Bare 1.9 (just head, no valves, lifters, rockers, cam) measures 45 lbs.
I've looked everywhere, but can't find a reference to these numbers (ballpark).Any help from those who have swapped parts would be appreciated...
1.9L bare block
1.9L cylinder head
1.9L crankshaft
4-speed trans/bellhousing
I'm buying a car that will be shipped, and the seller has extra parts-I'm trying to figure what can be safely put in the trunk and passenger floor.
Thanks,
Brian

Getrag 240 weighs about 80 lbs.
Standard tranny weighs 46 without the bellhousing.
1.9 crank, 36 to 36.5 lbs.

A long block weighs around 275 lbs. Add manifolds, carb, front cover, flywheel and clutch, pan and valve cover and some miscellaney and you get 300+ lbs.
Complete engine shipped and it was 323 lbs without starter, waterpump, exhaust manifold, or alternator.
1.9 Bare Block is about 35 kg ( 77 lb).

Thanks a lot guys. Also for pointing me to more lessons searching.
Flywheel, clutch disc and pressure plate as an assembly with bolts weighs 37 pounds. According to our neighborhood post office's digital scale. There's about twenty race cars within two miles of it, they're used to it...
