Excellent work! Just curious, but those are 12" wheels, correct?

I bought an NOS set of 12" aluminium (sic) wheel trim rings from Tom, above, about a year ago, not realizing they were for a Kadett A. . . . not his fault, entirely mine, got caught up in the moment . . . they're even in the original 1964 Opel box!

I will offer those for your restoration for the cost of shipping them to you, if you want. Shouldn't be much cost, 13" square box and very light weight, aluminium! Of course, I'd need your address . . . PM me here!

. . . maybe true for Europe, but only the '64-'65 Kadett "A" had 12" wheels here!

This is a beautiful and noble little car, congratulations. Please keep us posted as you progress.

It's nice to have two Kadett A threads on the site at once.

    Detail carb-side engine pic

. . . thanks for the earlier engine bay pics . . . would you post one of the intake-side of the engine without the aircleaner . . . future reference, "A"s, in original state, are very rare.

That is one sweet car. I wouldn't mind getting a Kadet/Ascona/Manta into my garage to sit along side the GT. I don't think the other half would allow it

I'm also in the process of aquiring one of these.

I need the chassis number for licencing etc..

Where is the chassis number / tag located on these models ?

I have to sort that out before I can fetch it

    New Pics

Not been on here for a while .

Here are pictures of my finished Kadett-A

The changes I have made are converted to 12volt system.I even convert clock and fuel gauge to twelve volts rather then using resistors to reduce the voltage.

    I have replaced the 993cc engine with a Kadett C 1.2L engine.

I have fitted Opel Kadett B front disc brakes and had to fit Opel kadett C 13" Rostyle alloys.

. . . very nice job! Just wondering how that original, single piston/circuit master cylinder is working out with those "B" discs up front . . . any problems?
