Who made the seats and door internals?

Alright guys, simple question, who made the original Opel seats and door internals on the GTs, Asconas, etc.

    French!

GTs were 'trimmed' in France before being sent to Germany for the mechanical parts to be installed

I think a French firm called Chausson did the body shells while Brissonneau & Lotz did the paint & interior trim - or maybe the other way around ... my German reading ability is not very good!

Remember that Opel is a GM company - the GM 'bean counters' would have sourced stuff from anywhere to save 2 cents per item ....

Here's a quote from a book I have on the GT.

...the body was ready for production in March 1966 but Opel's Russelsheim and Bochum plants were working to capacity so they chose two French firms to build the GT. In May 1966 a plaster form sent to Chausson near Paris where tooling for panels and the later raw bodies was done. Brissonneau Lotz in Creil, north of Paris, took on painting and interiors with final assembly - axles, engine and transmission - handled at Bochum.

The Opel GT is truly an international work of art.
