    Weber Washable Filter

I was looking at Opel Gt Soutce and they have a washable weber filter listed. Would you just soak it in dish soap, rinse, and dry?

I used a K&N filter cleaning kit on mine and it has worked fine. You spray a cleaning solution included with the kit, let it soak, and then rinse with water. After air drying, you use the red tinted oil included in the kit to oil the filter, then install. I got my kit at AutoZone.

Import place that I used to trade with told me to use Dawn dishwashing liquid. The instructions from K&N tell you to use cold water. I've used lukewarm water and Dawn with no problems. Just don't use hot enough water to risk causing the cotton filter material to shrink. Do re-oil with K&N oil.

dont use gas or solvent to clean as it will shrink the filter
