    stainless steel exhaust

    Has anyone replaced their exhaust with stainless steel.Just curious of the cost & their life span.Theirs not that much pipe so shouldn't be too far out of the park.thanks for any input.

    Hi Dale,

    My exhaust is all stainless, wasn't cheap. SS Header was custom done by a shop, it was $400. Everything else I built myself, I got the tubing from performance curve .com, they sell a piece that has a bunch of mandrel bends in it that you can cut and weld into the shape you want - that's what I did. Magnaflow resonator and built my own muffler:

    This is for a rotary engine, so is probably overkill for an opel powerplant. I try not to think about the total, but it must be over $800.
    Not sure if you would find a stock resonator or muffler in stainless...

    You're a skilled fabricator. Very nice, won't need a SS header so this may be a possibility. Thanks eh.
