    Street motors

I've been kicking around this idea.
    E-85 based fuel
So I'll need some high compression pistons.
How much can you bore the block out and install sleeves?..I'm tring to get to a popular piston size.I'm also planning on using a block stiffener.
Just bench racing here any thoughts?

I would install 89mm pistons which are a standard 2.8L V-6 GM product and have the machine shop figure out how much clearance is needed for the sleeve.

Yes, while going so far as sleeving a block, make a spacer plate (Caterpillar style technology from way back) for between the block and head. This would allow 2.4 crank stroke AND much longer rods.

Cooling that mass of metal all up high in the combustion chamber, the mass of that plate, might prove problematic. If it retained enough heat to cause preignition then the whole exercise would be for nothing.
