    Factory Wheels

Well the wife wants to keep a set of factory wheels on the GT. I didn't really care for the Rallye wheels on it were there any other factory options for the wheels on the 73 model? I tried searching but couldn't find anything. Here is a picture of the Rallye wheels that are on it just for reference.

The only other factory wheels for the GT, we didn't get as it was after 1975, but, these are what they look like:

hrcollinsjr has made a donation to the forum!

You can brighten them up a bit by adding the factory chrome trim/beauty rings.

The Ralley wheels look darn good powdercoated. Either back to black and silver or all silver.

The ATS come in just about every size that you can think of including 9 inch wide. Look at Stephan Lee's black GT to how mean that can look on a GT.
Needs a 2dr Ascona, everyone else has one.

The 73 GT rally wheel is different from the model 50 series Ascona/Manta/1900 rally wheel. The offset is very different.

Try looking at the stock wheels for the earlier GT's/Kadetts. They used a trim ring and a center cap, but had either four slots or a series of round holes.

"No, the motor is not in the back."

Yes! I believe that the 15 hole wheels (steelies) with the beauty rings and center caps are the most desireable of the stock gt wheels. I painted the wheels black just with spray paint and it gives it a good look. Depending on where you are located I have a set of rings and caps that I might be willing to sell. They are in very good condition.
This was my set up until i got my BBS

    Wheels

Designs of factory-original wheels originally installed on US-export Opel GT's, are shown on page 4 of this article (newly posted to the web):

Yes, this was debated on another thread. Opel refers to these four spoke wheels used on the '73 GT, '73 Manta Luxus, '74-'75 Manta/Ascona as Sport Wheels in their literature.

They use the term Rallye Wheels for the 15 hole wheels used on the '71-72 GT and the '71-'73 Manta Rallye.

Ok, I wanted to make sure that OpelNewb knows what he has are Sport wheels. I'm guessing what he probably wants are Rallye wheels.

...and in the rest of the world they are called "Rostyle" wheels.
