I'll start making my shopping list.
OK;
Since the first order was such a success, and while it was going on, there were a bunch of people trying to get in on it. Well, just to get a feel for who WOULD be in on another order, let's see how it goes. Dieter has said that he will do the actual communication with Wolfgang, and I will do the distribution of the various sub-orders. Please, DO NOT "order" unless you're positive you want to go through with it. It will mean less hassle. Again, this is NOT actually taking orders, but, finding out if we have enough people to warrant doing another large order.

Politicians and diapers have one thing in common. They should both be changed regularly and for the same reason.
Is this just Manta parts?
I am unfamiliar with Dr Manta. Is there a catalog?
Thx
Opel GTs are not GM products
Go to Dr. Manta and yes it's Manta/Ascona parts

Is there any chance that we could order any sheetmetal this time around? I'm not talking about anything really bulky, but I could use two or three model 50 lower rear valances, maybe some rear 1/4 patch panels.

I might be interested. I ordered some rubber just before Christmas. It took 3 trips to a major bank to get the money wired, they could not figure it out. Then they called two days later to tell me they made a mistake and wired the money in $ instead of Euros as requested. So back to the bank to send the makeup money in Euros. Unfortunately Wolfgang was unhappy because he had bank charges and exchange rate losses on his end. When my bank statement came, they charged for both wires. A phone call to HQ did not fix the problem so back to the bank for a 5th time. The parking lot was mostly empty, there were people at the walk up ATM, I walked into the middle of the lobby, TVs were on, lights on, not a soul in sight. It was MLK day. Ever stood in the middle of an empty bank. I waved at the cameras and left. So back the next day for a 6th time to get it right. I think they are missing a wheel on their stage coach.
I will say that Wolfgang was very good about and sent the material as requested.

Definitely want to get in this time around, I'll start putting together my shopping list!![]()

Must ...resist....temptation...to... buy...parts...for...SportWagon...that is still sitting on driveway beside running Lexus waiting its turn to enter garage which can't happen until damn GT gets enough body work done to send away to paint shop.
Oh to hell with it, temptation wins. I'll see what I think I want, um, need from the Dr. Manta website

Sigh... My change jar is empty but I still need some parts. I'm looking around for things to sell to get back in the game. Looks like prices have already gone up since the last order. Dr. Manta is not kind on the group discount side.
But the group buy does work very well and replaces a ton of difficulties and lowers cost you encounter when going to Dr. Manta direct (witness traytodd's remark above and thank the kind help of Gene and others), so don't be a pain, order early, pay quickly and thank anyone helping you along the way...

Maybe in the future we could try the group buy with Udo at "Splendid Parts" and get some Kadett and GT items. Udo was pretty easy to deal with and all communications were in English!

Terry,
you could have had it easier. See here: http://www.opelgt.com/forums/general...-auctions.html
Dieter
Gene,
I don't think I will order this time around. As much as I would love too... I have not got a bead as for everything I need and won't 'til I can get the Manta in the garage this spring. I hope to get in on a future order though.

Tom;
I would think that the seal is the same type, just different length, or it might even be the same length. Check into it. o-t-r | Alles fr Ihren Opel has Kadett stuff, see if you can't cross-reference it.
