Geez, I have both the cash right now and the go-ahead from the fiance, but when am I going to have time to get to CT? And it's not like I need another Opel with no parts here in the US...

I went to look at this car last summer...can't remember from whom I heard about it. But of course the day I went to the garage to look at it, it was locked up inside and on a lift...
But I really didn't need another project anyway.![]()

Well, if the driveline were shot it looks like it'd be an excellent candidate for a swap! Sorry, but this has Stephen written all over it. And now for my ulterior motive in replying - Stephen would you be interested if someone could offset some of your cost by helping with gas money in exchange for picking up some parts on the way up? Of course I have a bellhousing and a kadett bumper as well.
I need to get some stuff from Chesapeake VA.

I actually have a fair slew of parts for it, what with it and the Admiral sharing so much drivetrain. That and them being the same year and all.
If I end up with it I'll certainly help you out with some parts delivery, Todd, though it might have to be AutoFair weekend since the rest of my spring is filling up fast.

Hah! With a fiance, it's filling up twice as fast as normal! Congrats by the way as I hadn't heard. Remember, with the addition of the ring, Fiance becomes Finance.
I'll follow this thread to see how it ends up. Autofair weekend or anytime this Spring would work for me. And, perhaps there may be others interested in a parts run if you're heading up this way. For example, how about some of the people that ordered the Dr Manta stuff? Every little bit could help finance the trip.

Ideally I'd be hauling a car that direction....
Anyone in the NE looking to buy a small bumper sunroof Manta or 4-door Kadett?

Not bad for rust, actually pretty good, but little dings and such here and there. I'll get some pics for you this weekend since I need to pull it out of the garage anyway. If you remember, it's the famous "blue max" that a certain someone had been raving about for so long.
