    Carlisle 2009 Events Thread

Let's hear some suggestions of things to do on Sat. and Sunday. Any volunteers for demos or discussions? Other ideas?

    Guess this Part Contest

Here's a fun event for Carlisle. Have a contest where you identify Opel parts.

The parts are laid out on a table and everyone has a chance to write down what they are and what model they are from.

This was done at the OMC picnic in the past and always generated a lot of discussion.

If you have a common, not so common or unique Opel part bring it along.

Maybe some tech seminars, such as installation of a pertronix ignition, the Otto start relay or something else along that line.

Oh wait a minute maybe Roy could show us how to make his award winning ribs and barbeque. OK I was trying, heard about it yet to sample it.

Hummmm... If I had a smoker, hickory wood and 12 hours of time to cook the pork, I could do it! The ribs take 5 hours....

Maybe I could do that sometime...

I'll just have to make a trip down to Oooonerville for one of the Charlotte shows this fall or next spring.

I'm up for the challange. I'll look through my parts for some of the "rare" or unique parts. This can be fun and educational until the beer wipes it from our memory

John Grosh usually brings his grill and makes hamburgers and hot dogs for all those who want them.

I'm in to the parts challenge.

I wouldn't mind a cruise but know that the streets will be full enough as it is.

I say we swap cars. I call Dieter's.
