    oil pressure

Need help : What should the oil pressure be at an idle on a worm eng W/hyd valve system. Is the first hash mark is 10 LB? I know with solid lifters I would adj the valves and the oil pressure would come to the second hash mark.
My 1972 1.9L eng has a rebuilt cyl head W/ all new cam bearings. I beleive the cyl head is a 1970. Now that I have the eng running after 3 years the oil pressure at an idle (1,000 rpm) is at the first hash mark and at 3,000 rpm goes only to the third.

Each increment on the GT Oil pressure is 1 Bar or about 14.65 psi, so you are idling at about 15 psi and going down the road at about 45 psi. Plenty of pressure for a worn engine!

Bob,Thanks for that percise info on oil pressure,I was wondering about mine too,At 3000 RPM my GT is reading right at the 3 marker and at idle it reads at the 2.
Hope to get the opportunity to met you at Wes,s house this weekend at the spring gettogether.

Tom, I plan to be there this weekend and will see you there.

As I reread this initial post, I see that I misread RaysGT's question. I think that he was referring to a "warm" engine rather than a "worn" engine. (My poor old tired eyes) The OP is still ok either way.
