You want the entire heating system removed, or just the heater core.
For complete removal, unbolt everything and remove, then block off the fresh air input.
For the heater core only, open the heater box and remove the heater core, then reclose the heater box.
If you remove the entire heater system, fabricate something to block off the defrost ducts on the dash (assuming you will reinstall the dash) before reinstalling it to keep a fresh look.
Opel GTs are not GM products
I don't know why you would want to eliminate the heater? Not working? I assume when you say heater you mean the heater core? If thats the case and you want to get rid of it just run a 5/8 inch heater hose from your water pump to your thermostat housing (if you have a electric choke). This will free up the lines going to your heater core. Or you could also just cap off the thermostat housing and water pump outlets ,again,if you have a electric choke. If you have a water choke, run a hose from water pump to choke then from choke to thermostat housing.

thank you very much... I'm in an attempt to save as much weight as possible. I bought a flexible extention today and I'm going to remove the dash and heater, then remembered that the intimidating slew of pipes that lead to no-where should probably be taken care ofthanks! I LOVE this site

I got the dash off, looked at the heater and decided to leave it in. if I'm going to auto-x events or any thing of the sort then I'll probably be getting up/leaving early in the day... which includes fogged-up windowsso I'm leaving the heater in... but I've already made custom mounts for the guage cluster and defroster vents so I can leave the dash out
that thing is heavy! and I'm finding this requires alot of thinking trying to set up a street-legal/driven performance car. it's all fun though
