    Short-Throw Shifter for Getrag?

    i been looking and looking for a short throw shifter for a getrag. i have looked everywhere or just not the right places. has anyone put in a short throw shifter in the getrag? or does anyone know where to find them?

    They don't exist to fit in an Opel. They must be custom made. There are some for the BMW Getrag but it only works in an unmodified Getrag. Since we must modify how the shifter mounts it will not work correctly. Per RallyBob of course.

    thanks for the input guys. im getting out of the navy in four months and i was wanting to start buying parts for the opel again. its hard to get anything when your stuck in japan for 4 years. 4 more months to go and i be state side and back to the opel.

    its looks like il have to do some mods to the shifter. i have seen some opel pics that have a short throw in it. but i dont know what kind of tranny they had in it. i guess il just have to leave as is cause im not to good with metal work. i can paint but i cant do metal work. thanks for the info guys.

    Since you are a painter, see if you can find aother Colorado member (look on members map) who can do metal fabrication and will swap a shifter mod for some paint work. People are always looking to have painting done here.

    thats a good idea. might just try and do that. i gotta get out of japan before that though. 4 more months and il be back to the opel.
