    How do you remove it?

    You really need a tool to remove the 'nut' on the lock cylinder as it quite a reach to get to it from the backside(inside the trunk). I just took a piece of electrical conduit(EMT), flared it out to go over the 'nut' snugly, then filed it down leaving two retangular tabs 1/16" in length and about 3/32" wide at 180 degrees from each other. And cut the EMT long enough to reach the 'nut' on the lock cylinder.

    trunk lock removal

    thanks to Texas for the info. I've been on that track but just haven't hit on the right material for fashioning the tool. Paul
