    Targa Kit Seals

    Dear Friends,

As some of you know, the last year was used to work around the world....
now, I'm back home, so I 've got time to drive my 'new' Ferrari and to continue the rebuilding of my 1969 Targa GT.
I need your help to complete the Targa kit installation.
I received this kit from Lenk, but without seals. I tried to find a solution with Gerry Lenk, but without succes, he doesn't have the seals anymore.
May I ask you to give me some info's about these seals ?
Who has Lenk Targa GT kit?
Someone said to me that I can use seals from Porsches... I'm sure it's true, but witch model ? 944 Targa?
I really need your help because I want to complete the shell work, but it is not possible without the seals.

    best regards to all

i think the 912/4 seals would be close to whats needed they are about the same shape or maybe fiat X1/9 , both worth a good look at

My suggestion, contact Dennis at Opel GT Source, 1-209-928-1110, and ask him if he has any info or pointers on it. His GT has a targa kit on it.

RallyBob has made a donation to the forum!

IIRC, the seals that were originally used with the Targa kits were Manta A door seals, as those cars use frameless doors. But since Opel discontinued those seals, finding them might be difficult now.

Find a company that makes seals for T-tops, they are the same and we have used them on most convertible conversions.

Camaro factory T-top seals will work very well but require minor trimming.

Can you post some pics? I'm also in the same dilemma. I was going to make my own silicon (RTV) seals. But finding an off the shelf part would be better. But I might be out of luck as I customized Lenk's conversion to get rid of the door frames completely from the doors.

I'm finally doing my interior and my wife says if I'm going to spend that kind of money, the car better be water tight.

    Hi Friends,
I'va just received a lot of information's from Dennis ( Opel GT Source).
I want to thank him VERY MUCH because he gave me what I need.
The best solution is to use Peugeot 206 CC seals.... I visited a Peugeoy dealer yesterday afternoon, to check it by myself...... It seems to be the best solution..... The only problem is ....THE PRICE !

The fours seals ( front, rear, left and right) cost 1400 EURO!!!!

    Hi Marc,

i think you only can need the side seals, the rear goés by the 206cc beside the rearwindow´s down.
I think an good option was Kadett E Cabrio, evtl you can finde one by wrecker,or find some part´s by opeldealer,or opel-classic-parts?

Let's try this, I use all sorts of seals from this company. Just send the a cross section and they usually solve the problem.
