The first time I saw this car was about a month ago. It was listed for $4000. I like it. Wish the seller would say more about the power train conversion. I'm sure it's worth the money if it runs like the seller says.

The body on that car is ROUGH. It was a members car here. The body is going to need a lot of work. The price they are asking is a ripoff.

no matter who wins, you're both still retarded.
FYI, the price has gone down to $3000, and we are in the process of fixing up the body, the work alone that has gone into the car makes it worth it. Thank you for your comraderie and support
Hey Amy,
We have another car show coming up this Saturday 19th. Nor Cal Opelers will be driving to Sonora for the car show there. Afterwards we will be going by Opel GT Source and Gil has offered to host a BBQ.
This would be a great opportunity to expose your car and possibly find a buyer.

Good job, getting some of the body work worked out will make it more marketable. Too bad the car market here in the Sac area is so bad. With all the lay-offs it's been tough, I know I am one of them. With a bit of work that car will be a catch. It would be great to see it with the Miata engine in it. Many here want pictures.

Since I own both an Opel GT and a Miata, I've thought that if you could take the whole drivetrain including suspension and brakes and put them under a GT body you would have the best of both.
Wouldn't do it with the ones I have but getting a wrecked Miata and a GT in need of help would make a good match. The body comes off a Miata leaving everything you would need. I've given this some deep thought but haven't pulled out the tape measure........................yet.

Next time you see my Opel you should stop me!! I love talking to new people and it would be nice to meet some of you! Or, did you mean the first time you saw it on Craigslist?![]()
Yea, things are definitely hard all around, that was the main reaason why I have to sell it, but it looks like I might be able to keep it a little longer and hopefully work on it some more so that it is up to par. It is my first project car so you know how it goes, slowly but surely!
I will try and take more pictures of it, especially under the hood so you guys can get an ide of what's been done.
that's a good news the price was decrease.. well on the bad news side.. im sorry opelswap that was happened to you.. well the US car market was really too bad because of the recession.
