The interlock system suddenly "woke up" on my '74 Ascona, or at least it started interfering with starting. The PO had disconnected the seat switches but recently the fasten seat belt sign comes on and the buzzer plus the car won't start until repeated starting attempts are made. Can the "seat belt logic relay" be shorted out? Other than the 9 pin connector I see two spade connectors. Will directly connecting them take the relay out of the system?
