Harold is making me do this....
I attended the Euro Auto Festival at the BMW Manufacturing plant in South Carolina today with my 73 Opel GT along with Floyd and Laurie Schwartz and their 71 GT.
This show was for European cars only and it was well attended by just about every European car made. Cars from Rolls Royce, Morgan's, MG's, Triumphs, Jaguars, Mercedes, BMW's, etc., etc., etc.
Well, my little Opel GT walked off with two awards... First Place in the "Specialty Sports" car class and the "Crowd Pleaser" award voted on by the other people who brought their cars to the show. I was proud of our Opel's and humbled at the same time. At a show like this, it really helps us get our name out there and gain more respect.

Wow our inexpensive little sports car can hold its own against some very expensive classy exotics. Good Show.
I'm sorry, I was supposed to go to this show, but, at the last minute I was informed by my boss, that I had to work on Saturday, needless to say I was a bit PO'ed.....![]()

Beautiful car. Very understated for a Lamborghini. Never saw one before, but I don't imagine there are too many buzzing around these parts. I did see a Diablo yesterday on my way to the park in my Corvair. I revved my motor when I caught up to him at a light, and I think he had a good chuckle.
Cheers,
Ron in Indy
nice car good taste and congrats![]()
It took me a minute to realize what it was but I then realized it was a Lamborghini and thought either Espada or Jalpa. Turns out the Jarama is basically an Espada, just more sporty.
Needs a 2dr Ascona, everyone else has one.
Congratulations Roy! Two well-deserved awards! You must have pleased the crowd pretty good!

Fantastic Roy!!! You should not have had to have Harold pester you to post this. It's great news for you and for Opels! Nice job!
