    GM keeps Opel! Front page business news.
    It seems that SOMEONE at GM management woke up and went Huh, that German division that's been designing a slew of our cars for the past few years is going away? Maybe not such a good idea, since we will need small cars for US.

    Wow - this is good news! I saw that Ford is doing quite well and that the overall auto industry is looking good for 2011. Hopefully GM can pay back the Us government and get them out of the industry and become profitable again.

    US carmaker General Motors has confirmed that the head of its European operations has resigned. Carl-Peter Forster is believed to have stepped down in protest over GM's decision not to sell its European subsidiary Opel.
