BTW, You can add photos to the members gallery here.
It is indeed a coupe version of the Senator A... and out of the numerous cars I've owned over the last 20 years, this is way up there in the top 5 of coolest cars...

I need to get the polishing gear out and also sort an arch, once it's looking more respectable I'll post pics in the gallery for sure.

    Monza Wheels

Glad to see I'm not the only one who appreciates the monza's .You asked what size wheels you can fit on one ,depends on your budget .Ive got two monza's at the moment , one on 215/40/17 with a 2" suspension drop and it sits nice making it really look the part .To say it goes around corners like its on rails is a understaitment , sadly it is past its repairable stage on the old tin worm so it is now to be used as a donor for my second car .That sits on compomtive 10" split rims with 285/40/15's and full race suspension (no idea where all the parts come from so gonna be fun overhauling the suspension ).Do not go below a 2" drop as handling is good up to 2" drop any more is too much .As for the exhaust I may be able to help you there as ive got an aftermarket tuned back box which makes the six sound sweet (may part with it and the 17" wheels for the right offer in pound notes ) It uses the original system but makes it sound so sweet but not too loud .There is a pic of my new baby (monza) at http://hometown.aol.co.uk/lesjstewar...opersonal.html

    Dang You! Evil .....

All this talk of Monzas must have set the rats in my brain chewing away at my sanity - again!
I was dragged into a car sales yard yesterday - $NZ1,000 ripped out of my wallet and this ... just followed me home. :o
I guess it will be able to tow the GT at over 125mph ......
Will upload some better pics when the sun comes out - these were taken at 3am in my storage shed ..... well one of my storage sheds!

Somehow, I don't get the picture of you being "dragged" to a car sale, not even kicking and screaming...lol

Gene, The kicking and screaming was because the yard had a security fence around it and I saw the car late Sunday and could not get IN! They found me on the pavement outside on Monday morning - with my fingers locked through the wire mesh ........

Who, Me? Nah, I just acted nonchalant as if I have been trapped by their fence overnight - so they would take pity on me as sell it to me quickly to avoid any liability issues ........

Very nice Jim, a little bit of polish and wax on, wax off, and it'll be a real beauty. Inline 6 with FI and an auto, neat. The interior looks really nice too. Someone did give it a bit of TLC it appears from what I can see in the pics.

Just a bit of the "not optional" Opel rust to be repaired around the front spring towers. I knew about it as every one of the 42,000 Monzas made came from the factory with rust already starting there.
Other than that it does purr like a big cat.

I'm currently on the hunt for a Monza GSE and need some advice on how to go about some modifications I have planned for it as soon as it's here.
    1) Suspension - I would like to 'slam' it as low as possible without causing camber grief (and of course keeping it driveable).
Any ideas on what's available for the Monza (preferably widely available, I'm in the UK)
    2) Wheels - what's the biggest size that can be fit under those massive arches??
What offset and PCD are the wheels on the Monza??
    3) Interiors - did any of the Monzas come with a black or grey interior?
    What about leather?
I think I can fit just about any front seats in, but what about straight replacements for the rear? Senator A? Carlton? Any others?
    4) Exhaust - I can pretty much have whatever I want, including manifold and downpipes. Is there an optimum size for the tubing used for these?
I want the car to announce it's presence with a 'rumbling' sound worthy of the 3.0 12V.
Is a 3" bore system too big? what about the bore for the manifold?

There we go... bit of a tall order for my first post, but all help and advice greatly appreciated..

    Hy !

I think I've got some stuff for You if you are still interested in Gse Monza !
    - rear springs
    - 3-1 manifolds
    - A/C
    - blower
    - etc.
