It somehow links the zip code that you (presumably) registered on the site with the weather for that area. But although it "sees" my Postal Code (in Canada, you know), the applet doesn't have weather in my area.

This works for non US sites also.

    1) Go here: http://www.weatherroom.com/cgi-bin/...ass&pass=tafINT
    2) Select your country and city
    3) Click "display Forecast/Conditions"
    4) Top right you will see this "ICAO Used:" followed by a code - Place this code in your zip code field and you will see your local international forecast.

Edit: Direct link for ICAO code lookup: http://www.jfast.org/Tools/Port2Port.../GeoLookup.asp
I am trying to get it working off our server so it will load faster.

    Weather ... or not....

That worked Gary - but the initial link did not. I had to go directly to www.weatherroom.com and search around to find my "ICAO".
Once I had that and installed it in my ZIP code space the local weather forcast now shows on the home page. NEAT! And I can look out the kitchen window to see if is is right......

If you go to your UserCP and add in your zip code or ICAO code, you will get the current weather for your area each time you visit the main page.

The weather feed we are currently using gets their info from another source. I have that source running on our server. Once I figure out how to roll that into the weather module we will eliminate the middle man and the page will load faster.

BTW, clicking on the weather module will open another page with a load of info and forecasts.

Baz, did you REALLY get offered yxy's GT? YIKES! I think I'd mortgage the house for that car!
As for the weather, the code worked fine. Except it's so BLOODY cold out today (minus 15 Celsius) with a strong wind that I don't need to be reminded. The cold air is creeping in through the cracks and around the windows. Good thing I have a heated garage. I think I will go work in there today...

Good for you Keith. I have been on vacation all week and have not made it to my garage yet!! So much for putting the new engine and Getrag in the wagon...

And to think the pics of yxy's GT in the gallery are the before shots!! He has since stripped it down for the Targa repairs!
