    Article formats

    I REALLY like it!

As a newer user of the forum, I still find it hard sometimes to find the information I am searching for. It ends up many times being an hours long quest. The best articles never seem to come up directly in my search, but are found as links in other posts that I am reading that DID come up in the search.

One example is that I have seen reference many times to an article by RallyBob on building a 2.0L using 265 pistons. I have read a ton of info on the forum about this, but have still never seen the original article written by Bob that everyone keeps referencing.

It may just take me some time to get better at searching and using the site.
Just to make it clear, I am not complaining! I love this site and the motivation and kindness with which knowledge is shared by everyone.

    Thank you!

Gary, does this mean I can put the original Willit? engine swap phases in there now or are they too big with too many pics? I can resize the pics no problem but not sure if they will show the detail I would like to have shown at the smaller size. Maybe I can play with it instead of working on Willit? before the game today.

I'll save you the time, I never wrote such an article! I did write a 1.9>to>2.4 conversion article however, so perhaps this is the article people are thinking of.

I've made brief mention of the 265 pistons for a 2.0 since it's been done since the late '70's. That was primarily with the TRW forgings (N.L.A.), and later the Venolia copies of those pistons. I have never built a 2.0 from cast aluminum 265 pistons, so I don't know the outcome of using those. HTH.

Ron, have a ball. 150 x 150 will fit in the article. larger pics can be added as attachments, their tuumbnails will show in the right column.

You might be referring to the 2.0 thread by Nobody that was accidently dumped. I have the back-up as a text file and, if it is ok with Nobody, can send it to anyone who would like to edit it and post.

Great, Phase I loaded very neatly. Now after the game and maybe tomorrow I can load all the Phases under that one thread complete with pics. Maybe a better idea would to load each one separately.

Thanks Bob, that would explain why I cound't find it, it doesn't exist! I learned a ton looking for it though.

Gary, If Dave is ok with it, I would love a copy! I would be willing to edit it and share it if that is ok with everyone. We have gotton way off thread here, so I will contact you via PM.

I love the feature of the Article Format! (There, now are we back on topic?)

Alrighty there now there then, all the current Phases of the Willit? engine/tranny swap are in the Performance Articles. I loaded each of the 5 Phases separately, complete with pics. Hopefully it will be educational and instructive for those desiring to go through the fun and games I've had in the past with this project. Phase VI is currently in the works, and should be done shortly, barring any unforeseen circumstances.
