It's just a standard exhaust manifold, with the intake flange at the top as can be seen in the photo below:

Thanks. I did not think it was a header, since it needed 4 holes not 2.

    Hi,

I've been looking at this advert on Ebay and was just wondering if this exhaust manifold was an original 1.9 GT manifold or an aftermarket part??

THe manifold itself is a nice clean standard one - see the "OPEL" marking inside the wee egg-shaped logo on the front down branch that is cast on.
The 'header pipes' are definately aftermarket and deliberately made different lengths to 'balance' or compensate for the differing lengths of the branches in the cast manifold - they look to be bigger in diameter than standard pipes too. The bifurication - where the two pipes merge - is a bit of a design glitch though. Nice clean standard set for a cold climate where the 'sprint'-type may give cold running and start-up problems though ....... IMHO

it would be nice if the people listing stuff on ebay would actually know what they are listing...they should all have to check out this site before they list anything for an opel that way they get it right the first time and we wont have to correct them...but then again what would be the fun in that...
