Opel GT Panels...what are they worth

On a recent trip to collect a GT for a friend I was offered a 'spares package' by the vendor. Whilst many of the items I've come across before and can therefore put a price on them (should I wish to sell) there are two particular items that I don't know how to value them, re potential resale.

The items in question are a drivers side and passenger side front wing (fender). Now I'm not talking second hand or pattern parts, I'm talking genuine OPEL PANELS, both still retaining there Opel stickers inside the panel.

Anyone care to put a value on them?

    Fenders

I've been looking for a used rear panel with little rust and they seem to run around $350 US now for a new panel $$$$$.

OGTS has some in fiberglass, like the belly pan, and the tail panel. But, the one source that shows they have, or can get them all in either metal or fiberglass is www.opelgtparts.com in the Netherlands. But, be warned, it's expen$ive and it may be a while before you see your order.

I have their catalog. It's nice and glossy, but really it is not that usefull. OGTS can get any of those parts, and in fact use the same suppliers.

As for their replacement panels, in the catalog it shows OEM replacement panels but in reality they sell panels that have been cut off of California cars. So ordering metal through them is pointless.

Because none of the body panels are removable to begin with you have to do a substantial ammount of welding and grafting in. So in reality you really aren't saving any work by using an entire replacement panel. I personally use scrap metal to fix rust spots as to me it seems kind of wastefull to use a 10" piece from a rust free panel when that rust free panel could be saved to repair a car that has been wrecked.

I used sheet metal on the quarters, but I was looking for the front nose piece, I don't know the actual name for it, the one in front of the hood, and between the headlights

I'll do some kind of pictoral 'how-to' later this spring. I have to re-do the rear clip for my father's GT, it has a little rust in the lower rear quarters and it's getting enlarged fender flares at the same time (in steel). I need to finish building my english wheel first however. It can be done without the e-wheel...just much slower and IMO not as nice a job. I hope to use no body filler at all on the repairs.
