    Been Thinking ....

My 'take' on the two hoses from the valve cover is this: The large hose is connected to the air intake just up-stream of the carb and is for removing the 'oil' fumes from the motor for emissions reduction.
The small hose is connected to the intake plenum to equalise the pressure above and below the pistol to help with oil control and to reduce the pressure under the piston to allow easier movement.
To your conundrum - just drill a hole from the original mounting point on the outside of the intake manifold through the "A" section you have placed in the plenum or move the hole sideways a bit so it opens up into the plenum beside the new filler. Some testing will be needed to establish where best to position it - but the original fitting is still required as the 'metered orifice' is inside the factory fitting.

Thanks for the quick response, Jim. Do you know what the metered orifice is? Size? Is it check-valve like?

I stole the (B) fitting from another intake I had laying around, but it is straight thru, I see nothing to make it "metered." I have the fitting from an automatic tranny car that has the extra vacuum port on it and was going to fit it in place of the 'extra' automatic fitting.

    Ideas??

    Metering

There is no check valve or 'PCV' valve in the Opel system. My notorious blonde, old, male memory tells me .030" for the size of the metering hole .... maybe some "PO" has drilled your one out.
The extra connection on the auto fitting is for the vacuum modulator on the auto trans.
NOTE: There is no huge movement of vapour through this fitting - it just provides a vacuum ( well 'pressure'!) signal.

Jim, right on the money, I just checked the cleaned up fitting I have in my shop and the orifice is exactly .030.

    Vaccum restrictor

I found a vacuum restrictor at Pep-Boys that will suffice. I put it in-line in small hose from valve cover, about 4 inches from the extra vacuum port on the Y fitting. I didn't measure the opening in the restrictor, but it is quite small ... and restrictive.

    Thanks for the help...
