Pic size
Gary could you edit the size too? i Know i asked this before but when you did the change i saw i could easily add higher res pics under 300KB so i think if it is set to 1024x1024 that would be the best. so you can add pics both 1024x768 and 768x1024.
cheers tom

Size Matters!
Recently loaded up 4 or 5 pics to the rusty Kadett A Wagon Thread no problem.
Bigger pics = bigger files to store and slower downloads - anything above 640 X 600 makes page loading slow right down .. worse if a thread has several big, hi-res pics! Lots of members are still on Dial-up.

Gary is there a manual for the buttons and stuff above the reply to thread window? some are obvious but some not.
So to ask again is there going to be a change in the 3 pics max??

I know. but i wasn't talking about the embedded pictures. i was talking about attachments. those always show up as little thumbnails. and as long as you don't increase the max size of 300KB nothing will change. i make pics of 1024x768 that are beneath 100 KB. anyone that has XP could do this just google for XP Powertoys and download the image resized. it works great. you just select the pictures you want to resize click on the right button and then resize pictures. then you select the desired format and it resized automaticly. also size is always very low with this resizer.

I increased the size to 1024 x 1024. As of today, there are 8,929 attachments using up over 655 GIG of space on the server. |
