Lightbulb Multi-page thread "previous page" focus

Gary,
Any way to change the "previous page" focus from "top-of-page" to "bottom-of-page" when going backwards in a multi-page thread? Thanks . . .

Not easy to do as that is coded into the program.

You can change the way threads are presented in your UserCP >> Thread Display Options >> Thread Display Mode. The Threaded or Hybrid option may help.

The UserCP Thread Display Options don't really address this particular item, but I understand what you mean by "Not easy to do" if the program code is not accessible to you. Could you possibly suggest it to the vendor as a future inclusion in that case? It's kind of a PITA to keep some sort of thread continuity when going backwards in a multi-page thread . . .

Here's a suggestion for a possible solution . . . in generic "code" . . .

On "Go-to-new-page-Click", If "new page number" is greater than current page number, GOTO "Top-of-page" (what it does now regardless of direction of new page access in the thread), else GOTO "Bottom-of-page".

The program already "knows" the "currentpage#" displayed so that it's relationship to the "newpage#" value - greater or less - can then also be used to determine whether to display the "newpage#" at "Top-of-page" or "Bottom-of-page" . . .

Well, if you set the Thread display Mode to Linear - Newest First wouldn't that put the next post at the top of page 2?
