New & Improved Technical Forum Headings

I really like the new Technical Forum headings. And it's NOT just 'cause it was my idea.

In case you all hadn't noticed, the old headings, such as "Drivetrain", "Body", and such, have been re-grouped into the same headings as the '73 and later Opel FSM Table of Contents. So now, when you are looking to post a new thread, or to look for an answer on, say, a "Cooling System" problem, you can go straight to the "Group 6 - Engine" heading. Or, for a heater question, go to "Group 9 - Accessories". Of course, you will be the first one to do that last one, since we were previously moving heater questions to "Electrical", "Mechanical", and sometimes even "Engine". But now it's WAY clearer!

Well, maybe not quite. Gary, could we (you!) make a couple of small changes? A brief description under each heading would make grouping and searching much easier. If you look at the index page after the Table of Contents on the '73 & '74 FSM, it shows what "subsystems" are grouped under the principal headings. For example, "Group 7 - Transmission" also covers "Clutch/Manual Transmission/Automatic Transmission", while "Group 9 - Accessories" covers "Heater/Air-Conditioning/Radio" (so maybe "Sound Systems" should really go there?). And "Group 4 - Rear Axle" covers "Propeller Shaft & Rear Axle".

And a couple of new sub-headings might be nice. Under "Engine", a sub-heading for "Cooling System" and another for "Exhaust Systems" would be good companions to the "Fuel System" sub-heading already there. And can you please re-name "Wheels" (under "Group 3 - Suspension and Steering" as "Wheels and Tires"? Under "Group 1 - Electrical", a few sub-headings, such as "Starting System", "Ignition System" (which previously would have gone under "Engine", so moderators please take note), "Charging System", and "Lighting Systems" (with a sub-sub-heading of "GT Headlights") would be very nice.

Any other suggestions while Gary is pounding the keys?

Garage
Sub-forums in the various groups is next. I'm trying to reach a balance where we have thread separation without having too many forums/sub-forums.
