I see that we have gone over to the dark side. Ads by Google in the top banner. PLEASE tell me that we aren't going to see pop ups!

Opel specific NZ based adds even turn up on my screen - from TraderPoint; our own "EBay" type seller .......

Just seeing how "Opel specific" the Google ads are to see if they can be useful and be a source of income for the site.

We will not have any Pop-up ads.

The Google ads apear to be following the thread content. An ad for control arms and springs followed the Suspension Woes thread. Might be an easy way to get to other parts sources.

The wee adds up on the top are not intrusive and if you can use them to offset the cost of this Community it sounds like a good deal.

As you say they are very Opel specific and even my local Trader Point ones take me directly to the Opels For Sale page: Astras; Calibras; Vectras and a lone Omega on there at the moment...... No GTs or Kadetts I am afraid.

I am not sure how these ads work, but most ads function on a pay-per-click basis, where each click earns the site a certain number of pennies.

What I am trying to say is, help support the site and check the ads out.
