Chat notification
It would be helpful if in the status area (you visited last, new threads, new posts ...ect.) there was a count on the number of people in Chat. I think if it listed that there are people in Chat it might help promote the use of the chat feature. Example Welcome, Tire Fryin GT. You last visited: 2 Hours Ago at 07:45 AM New threads since last visit: 1 New posts since last visit: 10 Private Messages: 0 Unread, Total 8. Current chat users: 3 Just an Idea Thanks for listening and GREAT SITE YOU HAVE HERE !!!!!!!!!!! Georges

I was looking for some site technical support but didn't seem to see a catagory/thread for it. My problem was that the chat was slow. Everytime I typed something and hit enter to send it, it would take 15 seconds before I could type something more in. I was always ahead of it and when I look up half of my message was missing.
When I couldn't find anything related to site technical support (found TONS of Opel Tech support ) I went looking for the problem myself. I found the answer. If anyone else has the same problem it seems to be Sun Java that is a problem. 1) Go to the "tools" menu on my internet explorer 2) Select "Internet options" 3) Select "Advanced" tab at the top of that window 4) Scroll down and look for "Java (Sun)" 5) Uncheck the box that says "Use Java 2 ...(requires restart) 6) Make sure there is a "Microsoft VM" below it and then hit "OK" else hit "CANCEL" 7) Now close all internet explorer windows 8) Reopen IE and check the chat to see if it corrected your problem NOTE: if this doesn't solve your problem OR if things seem to not work the way expected then RECHECK the box and everything will be back to the way it was. It also may be necessary to recheck the box for other websites. I infact have not run into any problems yet. Who knows maybe this could be the start of a Site Tech Thread, if there is already one then maybe a Mod could move it to the right place.

when you click the chat link at the top of the page, you can either go straght to chat or click on "whos chatting" and it will tell you everybody whos chatting, not just how many people. its easy to use, can check it as often as you please.
