Too Many Sub Groups?
it gets to be confusing for me never mind some newbee just joining the group and i can see its the same for some others who have been here a while

As for the Manta and Ascona, there's a few of the "sub-groups" that can be eliminated as these two models are similar in every way except for external sheet metal (duh ), and as for the motor/trans, those are the same for all models, except for the F.I. ones... just thinking out loud...

Suggestions are always welcome.
It is a balancing act to try and keep enough forums to sort out the posts into like topics for quick retrieval without it becoming too confusing. The FSM format works well. As for locating threads that were moved, you can always "subscribe" to threads or use the Quick Links dropdown menu to locate recent posts. |

I appreciate the comment. I am kind of the author of my own demise, so to speak, as I had asked Gary to increase the number of Forum headings.
That said, I think the number of headings, while a bit of an administrative hassle, is one thing that makes this site so useful. While the search feature is very powerful, I have had very good luck in just browsing the Forum heading of the issue I am interested in. Often the title is descriptive enough to head you in the right way. JM2CW
