color choices for a .com logo

pick a choice of colors and maybe offer up a graphic of choice so we might all agree on something. You can pick multiples if that is your wish.

Is this for window stickers? I'm working on this too. I have a vendor looking at prices.

Could you provide a "sample" in one of the colors?

Well, let's see, Do you want to see the custom script one, Utah meet one or wheel blitzes in gold blue black or red? I've worked out the prices and they are pretty reasonable. He already has the graphics all cleaned up to just go for it whenever I decide what would look good.

If you look in blitz logo there are a few there, also the one for the UOMC meet is in that thread. He's taken over doing all the company stuff and it's all turned out excelent, those are a 4 color overlay type but now can be done as a single layer. The pricing for single color is really low, probably in the neighborhood of 50 to 75 cents each. I know Dean, Liz, Jarod all have a few of them and I have a tendency to put them in with shipments so lord only knows who else has gotten some of them.

I was thinking that this image might be a good one for full color.

Something like this maybe? Oh and the Opel GT. com is in chrome. And full color is just that. He printed me off 50 of these and they look spectacular. They are photo quality. I intend to send them to Gary along with a few other types. All that's left is a SASE and a contribution to the site. Keep the votes and comments coming.

Question

Is it possible to "remove" the license plate digitally to clean up and de-personalise the image?

Actually this one I believe was sold and the plate isn't legal where it's going. I thaught about that but it was kinda patterned after the logo here which has a tag on it.

Looks good to me. I'd purchase 1/2 dozen or more. Jarrell

Ok it gets better or worse depending on the perspective. Here at the shop are 4 new Trane heating units that are extreme efficient with no home and not in inventory, seems my Graphics guy is having an issue with the heat for his shop using an antique heating system. Um yes we made a deal, can't have a friend that does such good work go cold can I?

On a side note we were discussing the wagon wood trim again. Would it be tacky if the faux wood trim had termites?

Also, I was wondering what the moderating team had to say about this as a fund raiser. It's a free to you deal but I'll lay off if that is the recommendation. I plan on a single color one in blue, black and white using a Blitz and the .com. for everybody.

Personally, I still just want a plain ol white vinyl Blitz. Its clean, classic and goes with anything. Start putting colors, and other stuff and it gets too busy and doesnt look very good. If they all end up being busy and colorful, personally, I probably won't get any.

if it was up to me i would just use the opel GT.com logo of the website in color, as it is with the shading and then without any graphics. cause that would make it to busy. and use the opel gt lettertype

The logo here was what I looked at first but the resolution of the graphic was too low to be used. He did the Opel GT.com flipping back and forth to this site to match it up.

My thinking on the single color ones was to do the Blitz upper right and the Opel GT . com the same as the color one with Opel boxed and then to be a refief type to show window color or whatever. The way these work you could easily remove any section on the single color ones. Leave just the blitz or seperate it all as you pleased. I voted for the white so you can rest assured the single color ones will happen as well.

I just had a look at the original logo and I understand why it couldn't be done to photo quality. I tried converting it from BMP to GIF, TIF and JPEG at high res and I understand why the graphics guy said no way. I'll put it on disc and ask again but I know the answer already. It was on his recommendation to find or take a high res pic to use. Even the one picked was borderline and was fit to best quality after being brought down in size. He wanted a pic of mine to play with but I said no way and we did some looking in the photo gallery for red GTs that would work.

Well the issue with it is resolution. Once it's dropped down you end up going back pixel by pixel to bring it back. I have the software to do it but it is tedious time consuming work. Bill who did the graphic does this for a living and he said no way twice.

Rather than continue on in this I'll send a few out to be evaluated in person. The list is Ron, Gene, Bob, Vickie, Liz, Jeff and Dean. These are just people who I'd like an opinion from and have a good address for.

For those getting an evaluation opportunity there needs to be a brief instruction. There are basicly 3 layers to them. The opaque white paper backing they are printed on, the sticker itself and then a semi opaque paper cover. All you do is peel the paper copies apart and the sticker stays on the semi opaque side. Position it carefully where you want it as there isn't a second chance. Rub it on then lift off the semi opaque cover and your done. it's best to kind of roll it on to minimize any air bubbles. A bondo squeegee is a great help in this. Let me know what ya'll think, some may arrive as early as Monday.

i think termites would be good

to the second point i would pm gary and ask him as its his site and the mods have no control over funding ,just content

sorry about the slow reply but not been about much this week

I was going with the simple Blitz logo and "Opelgt.com" so this could be enjoyed by all. I don't know if the owners of the Manta, Kadett, Ascona, Sportwagon, etc want a picture of a GT on their car. We can have 2 styles, but I'm going forward with the basic model.

In reading through the coments some people don't want the .com either. So far there is interest in at least 3 colors with nothing decided on size or if this is even supported as a promotional item. I only proceeded because it was free to me.

I'm going to keep the .com on it. I want to use it to promote the web site along with our cars.

Free is good, more than one style is also good.

I still haven't gotten a price yet, maybe I will know something late today. If I do, I will post tomorrow.

One thing I didn't mention is that everybody that hadn't already seen any of the simple blitz logos or the script one they were included as well. I don't remember who got what sizes or color variations but was just sorting out a bit.

Ok Ya'll lets hear some feedback, arrived in Utah yesterday so these have to be showing up elsewhere as well, I'll be calling in for the blue, black and white ones and the lot will be shipped to Gary. Funny stuff happens when people give up an address.
