Solex carb initial adjustments - '68 FSM

For those who have or are rebuilding a Solex carb, the ONLY source that lists initial settings for idle mixture and speed is the 1968 FSM (Factory Service Manual) . . . none of the following year manuals include this!!

NOTE: I have added metric equivalents (mm) to the venturi sizes in the spec above.

My 1971 FSM doesn't have these initial settings as tekenaar indicated. But there was a Solex Carburetor Model 32 DIDTA-4 rebuild instruction sheet in it which had these same initial settings. The instruction sheet is from the Techlit Co. dated 1971 and numbered 50-419. There are further adjustment instructions on the back. I guess the PO of the car or the manual must have rebuilt a Solex at some time.

    1971 TECHLIT Inst. Sheet 50-419

Here's a scan of the Solex 32DIDTA-4 Instruction Sheet for rebuilding including special instructions for re-assembly (initial settings) and adjusting:

Hope this helps anyone attempting a rebuild.
