Unanswered: solex idle air speed screw?

does anyone know where i can get the idle air speed screw for a solex? It kinda became loose until if fell out. In case i got the name wrong, its the small screw that faces the heater box so that you need a really short flathead screw driver to adjust. The solex is the electric choke kind that i think came only on '73 gts.
Thanks everyone for their help.

Daniel

Can you e-mail a picture of it's location in reference to the carb? Also include your snail-mail address, I more than likely have about 5-6 solex carbs propping various doors open and holding down piles of paper.

. . . Solex idle mixture screw comes out at an angle in the carb base below primary throttle plate, idle air screw (idle speed) comes out straight further up on the carb! That said, there were two different size idle mixture screws used, smaller one with very fine thread and rubber O-ring (no tension spring) and later larger one with coarse thread and tension spring.

wooops my bad. I was in fact referring to the the idle mixture screw, for some reason i always thought it was the idle air screw anyways, im pretty sure its the one with the fine thread. Any ideas where to get another one? i went to a nearby junk yard looking to find something similar but no luck.

Send a PM (Private Message) to BQS4 with your address, I'm pretty sure one will arrive in a few days.

A tip: Clicking on the quote button at the bottom of a post will quote that post in your reply.
