Unanswered: Solex Secondary frozen

What is the best way to loosen the secondary on this old Solex, it has been soaking for two days and is only loose on one side?

Are you soaking it in PB Blaster? Or other high performance penetrant? If the throttle body is off the carb then put it in one of those high performance carb cleaners that come in gallon cans. You can dip it in there for a few days. it does work very well. Also take the nut off along with levers so that the penetrant or detergent can soak around the shaft better.

Have you been able to determine what is binding; the linkage or the shaft/plate?

Looks like the mechanical linkage is binding, I'll have to find some PB Blaster I guess. Thanks
