Unanswered: 1.1SR Jets?

Does anyone know which main jets the 1.1SR uses?

Hope someone knows

Info!

1967 Kadett Rallye 11SR twin carbs - Main Jet X117.5 ( strangly enough the same jet as used on the primary side of the 1969 1.9S carb - unless the 1969 FSM has a misprint and the main jets have been mixed up.)

1969 GT 1.1SR twin carbs - Main Jet X132.5

Hope that Helps

It does, it definitly does!

But if the Kadett and GT had different jets, what about the hp of the engines? How much more pwer did the GT make?

Same rated HP

The 66-67 Kadett Rally 1.1SR and the 1969 GT 1.1SR motors were rated at the same horsepower - 67HP (gross).
THe early Kadett twin Solex carbs were simple single barrel down drafts where as the 1.1L GT twin carbs had no idle adjustments and relied on a special "extra" idle carb with a computer controlled solenoid between them on the intake manifold.

aha! Guess I'll be looking at a little more power then the old 12S engine then I'm upgrading to 10:1 or even 10.5:1 i compression aswell + I think I'll be running the 12S carbs with the orginial X122.5 jets if the SR had 117.5. Do you think that I can get past the 70hp mark? Or should I give some more fuel, say like X130 jets?

What do you mean by that? I have the carbs, the material to weld an intake, a friend that can take a couple of mm of the head for a little bit of money so.. All I wonder is if the concept will make it? I know a guy that will help me fine tune the carbs and adjust the ignition aswell.

Isnt there a weber sidedraft manifold on the ad board for the 1.1? Seems like a 40 or 45dcoe can wake that motor up

I saw that now, but 240US!? That's waaaay out of my budget! + I'll have to find a carb that will probably cost the same.. (+ I live in Sweden so..) For that kind of money I can get it registrered with a tuned C20NE. That's an 8 valve OHC, 2 litre engine. 116hp from the start, and fairly easy to get up to around 140-150hp.
