Unanswered: Stereo Application....COOL

pictures of a custom box i built last year to hold the CD player. made this in a couple days, 50 minutes a day. i stained it to match my steering wheel as best i could with the closest grain pattern match i could find, i still remember what i used if the shop has anymore. i can make these for some of you members if you wish also. i think the materials ended up costing me 4-5 bucks. i can sell them built and ready for finish with no routing for 10, routed for 15, and completely finished for 20 if anybody is interested. i'm working on all wood knobs, handles, and even a real wood wheel for the GT, i'll post pics when i'm done with the whole deal and see if theres any interest. the steering wheel is a royall pita, its coming along though. just got my comp set up to use a digital camera, probably be posting more pics today.

Looks great! Is there a reason why you didn't install the player in the original radio location?

Red face Re: sterio application....COOL

i didnt want to cut the dash up, it still has the origional working raido. i figure this way, all i have to do is pull the sterio out and drop the box down if i decide to do away with the CD player, which is funny i need another one, this one got fried with water, not good. if you put your CD player here, make sure WINDSHIELD DONT LEAK!!! :o

Re: sterio application....COOL

and you wont have to worry about foot clearance if you mount it right. i'm 6'1" with a size 13 shoe and i've never hit the back of the radio or bottom of the box or anything.
