These two showed up on craigslist here. I am just passing along the info.
The yellow one in Driftwood, Roy went out and looked at it. He said with the MR2 seats his head was against the roof, w/out a headliner. Mind you roy is like 6'3". He said the body looked good, the engine sounded strong. Some funky stuff with wiring. They didn't paint the headlight buckets as they were painting them black. Roy decided not to add it to his collection.
The guy had it listed for $4k, then dropped it to $3k. There, now you know as much as I know.
I am selling my project car,
however it does not need much to be completed.
Its a 1972 Opel GT,
1.9 liter engine
4 speed standard.
rear wheel drive.
I have done some work on it,
the brakes are done, its running, and tranny shifts well.
The rubber on all glass is new, and the body is in excellent condition.
It was just repainted, I stripped it completely to get it painted. The body shop also repaired/replaced some of the floor panel metal and as you can tell by the pictures, its not a bad job either. there was no considerable amount of rust on the car when i got it. just a few spots here and there, but nothing serious.
The inside still needs to be done, although I have put new seats in it from a 80s mrs2, they are in great shape.
the center consoles and such I dressed up. I have all the interior parts, they just need to be put back in.
The engine runs good, and the transmission is good, although I have not had a chance to look it all under very well. It looks and sounds good.
I have spare parts to go with it, some trannys, and misc parts.
