I just messaged Todd via Messenger about a headliner. He's gotten back to me before that way. We'll see what happens.

All or most of the window/door/hatch rubber has already been ordered from OGTS, I'll have to wait and see what they send me before I'll know if I have to search elsewhere for any missing rubber.

Interesting: Gil told me that there's a certain rubber piece, with "only one side", that is held in place by gluing it to one side of the glass. They sell a replacement piece that grabs both sides of the glass in the normal fashion.

Does anyone have a picture of what this mysterious piece looks like?

    Todd got back to me:

<<< We stock the headliners for GT and the Manta ....but only a few times have I ever been asked for the Sport Wagon.... I never made a prototype >>>

I think the German options are where I'm headed.

    Gordo
I think the piece, or rather pieces, Gil is referring to are the hinge pieces for the tip out side windows, and there's no rubber except for the pieces that mount in the frame of the body. The OEM pieces that glue to the glass, glued to one side. There are reproduction parts, which I think Gil sells, if not Norbert should be able to look up REPROTEC, I think that's how it's spelled, the replacement piece glues to the glass on both sides, but the sell the glass piece, the rubber frame piece, and the correct glue to fix the side glass problem.

Maybe Hartmut have a good source too also for the window rubber seals. He own two USA Ascona Wagons!
I can ask him if you want.
Or you can give Rainer the Ascona/Manta Guru a PM.Sure he have more sources as we all together

Hey Gary, I like the little bit cheaper price of the Bruhy company linked to above and I like that they will send extra pieces for the door pillars. Is it okay with you if we buy both headliners from that company?

Norbert said that the first company's headliner was better quality, so I bought 2 of those in perforated white.

    Thank you Norbert!

Wish I would have caught this. I can probably provide a headliner for that. I know some of the factory liners were perforated, but I hate that stuff. I use a white that has some stretch to it, and they look so much better. The other problem with perforated is seeing all the holes, may not be so bad on white, but black is the pits

Yeah, I guess I should have asked you. I'm not that thrilled about the perforations either, but I figured they would help the material stretch and conform. Mainly I wanted a non-textured white vinyl that would be easier to keep clean. I just wanted the search for this part to end so that I could put it behind me and move on to other things.

I realy want to help other Opelers over there.
But when I read the USPS messages out of the Package Black Hole of North America it is a real pain
to see nothing realy nothing goes on.
Now after 4 days and moving messages (only Date switch) the parts are still in the black hole facility.
The custom work are done before 09 April.
I can`t understand a way from 1 1/2 hour take so long. Its a world record in do nothing.
I have this problem never when packages go in north directions.Only when its delivered in NJ or PA
it is every time the same black hole.
Now I can understand people who didn`t want sent parts over the pond
