My only advice is to make it clear that any questions and request for more pics are welcome. difference between barely making reserve and thousands over is more pics of underside and the offer of quick replies to any questions or pic requests.

Include a pic of scratch you mention. straighten horn button, and front wheels. as is look's like car needs an alignment and steering wheel isn't aligned properly.

Your ad is real nice and I'm being hypercritical.

Good luck. I wish I had the cash to buy at your generous reserve and flip it.

    Thanks JJ.
Good suggestions, all. I did make a comment about more pics and videos, but I should highlight that.
I included a pic of the paint flaws in the album of extra photos. Yes, I should have fixed that horn button!

you can put a link in ad for youtube videos.

did you max out on photos in ad? if not put as many as you can!

When I sold my Irmscher GT, the buyer hired a 3rd party company forinspection and also used an escrow service. I was skeptical at first, but the inspection company helped big time. they inspected for 2 hours and sent buyer dozens of photos. Escrow company was also professional and provided peace of mind for both me and buyer.

Perhaps include a phrase.... I fully embrace and welcome a 3rd party inspection if you would like one. It will confirm how nice of a GT this example is and provide peace of mind knowing this is one of finest GT's in the country.

Chances are they wont use this service, but just hearing you welcome it and offer full transparency will earn trust even without an inspection.

I have lots of undercarriage pics in the photo album. I can share with anyone who sends me an email either through the ebay
    listing or at [email protected].
    Thanks again for your help.

The auction ends today (6:10 PM EDT) for anyone who might be on the fence about
dropping in and scooping up this GT. It is almost at the reserve price at the moment, so I expect it
will be sold today. I am hoping it goes to someone in the OpelGT.Com community here, so I can continue
to interact with the new owner on this forum. PM me if you are thinking about bidding and have any questions
    about the car.
    Cheers,
    Ron in Indy

I hear there a lot of GT enthusiasts here in Germany who will bid. Most they wait to long
I would set my bid soon and with the number I would pay for it normal what is worth for me!
    Never bid to low
To all :A happy bidding and be not worry if you didn`t win

    Hi Norbert,
Yes, it came in lower than what I thought it would.
I didn't want to have to re-list so I set the reserve @ $10K, and that is about what it went for.
The new owner got a good deal, but I am moving soon and the GT needs a new home. (which will be in AZ by the way )

    Hi Norbert,
I appreciate your efforts in spreading the word to the Opel enthusiasts in Germany.
Sometime the timing is not correct, or the particular car (modern wheels, auto trans, lots of chrome)
is not to everyone's taste. I've seen lesser cars go for more, but to me, I am happy that the new owner is
excited to have it, and will hopefully enjoy it as I did.
I believe Mel's car is still available, so perhaps that one will make it back to Europe.
    Cheers,
    Ron in Indy

Your presence will be missed at the Mother Road. I do hope after you get settled in that you can keep in touch with the Opel group. This may give you a chance to hang out with Charlotte Bunch. Good luck in the future.

Arizona is a great place to look for rust free Opels! (hint, hint)

Good luck with the move and your new home.

    Scottsdale AZ.
I am hoping the new owner joins the forum and introduces himself.
I told him about the site, and mentioned that we have some AZ Opelers that hang out here.

    Thanks guys,
I was a little "verklempt" when I dropped the car off. At least I had one last drive.
After 15 years, it is odd to open my garage and not see the little orange GT waiting
for me, but I am hopeful that it will continue its story out west. Who knows, Norbert?
One day it may return to Deutschland. I'll ask the current owner to consider that if he decides
    to sell the car.
    Best,
    Opel-less Ron in Indy
