I got this car from Roger Wilson, it had sat at his brother's house in the SoCal desert since 1983. Someday, when time and money permit, I will prepare the car for the Bonneville salt flats, class G/GT. Basically, it will have a sub-2.0 litre engine, no power adders allowed, on gasoline (no methanol or nitro), and the body must remain stock.
The target is 157+ mph, the existing record has stood since 1985. Harder than it sounds, as the temp is often over 100°, the elevation is over 4000 ft, and I'll be trying to accelerate on a surface not much grippier than beach sand!
