The us grilles are all one piece, though it might be possible to cut the Isuzu waffle out and set the Opel insert into it. If it was the only way for me to get one, I'd vote for taking the insert out and cutting the surround in half with a single vertical cut in the center. A small brace could be installed on the back side and when it gets painted to match it could be finished discretely.

I'm serious about the CIH diesel too. It would have to get here for less than or similar $ to the JDM Isuzu 3.1s that are @$2k.

I can splice the opel grill back together, did it with the Omega front spoiler. The Isuzu grille is not suitable to put the Opel insert into.

You need CIH diesel engine?? 2.3TD right? Here are lot of these engines, but for us this engine is piece of s**t
I have in my Opel Monterey good old 3.1TD engine (Isuzu). 2.3TD incomparably with 3.1TD. 2.3 have many problems with heads and bearings.
But If you want, I can feew pieces for You find Weigth of these komplet engine is about 200kg.

Any chance on getting a CIH diesel?

    OK, got it
Then necessary is complet engine, gearbox and both of drive shafts. About 300-350 kg. With 2.3TD was only manual transmission.

I think the diesel version crank can be used to make big cih engines and it also has an enlarged oil pump, gears and body, that can be utilized

Guess key here is if Steven is looking for the TD for a 2.7L project, or to put into his Isuzu

That spare tire cover is exactly right. That plus the grille and I would be a happy guy.

I can get the Isuzu 3.1 and transmission here for @$2500, and the CIH one would probably be pretty similar $ but not as reliable. Probably better to stick with the Isuzu.

I would like the motor mounting brackets for a CIH into the Frontera though, just in case my turbo 2.2l decides to live there instead of a Kadett.

I can see the "it's cool because it's a rare CIH engine" factor but beyond that, you haven't missed much. There are a couple of reasons why CIH diesel powered cars are somewhat popular though, even cars with the painfully low powered 2.0 non turbo version, and that's because they were never popular among the boy racer crowd and tend to be very original and well cared for. Some of them are even virtually rust free

If You want, I've 3.1L with transmission (MT) for 1500$ from Opel Monterey.

OK list of things RAV has that can go on this order if someone wants them.

Right now we are limiting to one Pallet, unless we get a surge of orders.

    2.4L Complete with EFI $1900

    2.2L Complete with EFI $1600

    (2) Getrag 240 5 Speed - $900

    (2) 3.18 Gear set from Manta GT/E ( so later style gear set.. but still 3.18 ) - $800

    3.0L V24 ( Like in Garys Ascona ) - UNKNOWN

Motors came from running cars, so we know they are good. BUt they are also old and tired as any 30 year old used motor would be. So while possible you could just bolt it in and go it would be recommended new rings, gaskets and bearings at minimum be done to them. Same holds true of the 5 speeds, they are coming from running cars, and should be solid but they are still used.

Prices do include shipping and handling to the USA, customs and all that junk. Shipping from Virginia to You would be arranged and paid for by you. I will help in anyway I can. That way there is no markup.

We can arrange to get new bearing and gasket kits, and anything else you want shipped from Germany.

Also if someone wants to buy something in Europe and have shipped to RAV we can add it. Should save you some shipping costs. Just need to let me know first.

Currently we have room for one engine, two transmissions and some misc.

I know he is still looking into getting a CIH Diesel if interested, and making room for the Frontera grilles and tire covers. If we can get them over we will and worry about price/etc.. then. As they will be light just bulky. Better chance of them coming if we go to the larger crate size.

We are hoping to have this packaged and shipped by the first of this month. So speak now or hold your peace.

FWIW, we are looking for 50% upfront of the parts.. I will pay and arrange for the shipping, and Rav will be paid the other 25% once we have confirmation of the shipment by the shipping company, and I will request the other 25% once I have the package in hand. Payments will be via PayPal so that should cover everyone as well.

Wow! Those are good prices! Like I've mentioned before if I didn't have so much invested in my present engine I would love to jump on the 2.2 or 2.4 and getrag band wagon.

Prices pretty much are whatever it cost to procure them, a 20% margin for Rav ( It is a business afterall ), and shipping/custom costs. I don't plan on making anything, just trying not to lose anything either.

Also want to mention, no one has to go through me..

Its just doing that THIS order will be saving everyone on shipping as we are trying to bundle it all. But if you want something small he can ship via postal and not freight by all means get with Rav directly. Not going to hurt my feelings.

Once we get this order done successfully, I will gladly share all my info so you can order directly as well. This all started because I was trying to get a big packaged shipped and he needed some help in that dept.

Hopefully this is the first and last time I do it.. and Rav will just be our go to guy here we can all trust.

If there is room for one more full/ complete with EFI, 2.4, I am definitely in. Please let me know how to follow through. This will be a better upgrade, than trying to stuff one of these Buick 215s, in my GT.
