My mother was very fond of anal thermometers. If I didn't want to go to school because I was "sick", I had to prove it by offering my azz for thermometer insertion. Mom said they were more accurate. She would say " Zo, you are zick, zen vee must put zee zermometer in your podolin!" Man, you REALLY need to be sick or afraid of that history test to be willing to have a skinny piece of glass shoved in yer schitter first thing in the morning.
I got to thinking about the word Podolin today(Pudlein in German. My mom was from the German/Polish "Prussian" region). I thought it was some sort of cute synonym for hiney or like the German slang word popo or putie(don't know about the spelling on that one). So today I asked my computer about it. Okay, one reference said it's a small town in Poland. Another reference said it was a town between two hills. Wait........between two hills........hiney........OH NOW I GET IT!(after 55 years) She was calling my hiney hole "a place between two hills".
Waaaaaahhhhh! Ha! Ha! Ha!
Starting today, I'm not wondering about anything anymore. Specifically if it's Gordo-related. I now know why he is like he is ...
